Anymwhut?
Heh- typing on my iPod Touch's tiny screen w/fat fingers, and for some reason Autocorrect DIDN'T catch my hitting "m" instead of the spacebar...now rectified.

Anyway, back on point: Check out drone bands like Sunn or Earth; guitarists like Buckethead or Helios Creed; bass players like Bill Laswell or Jonas Hellborg, modern composers like Glenn Branca or Phillip Glass; bands like Kodo, King Crimson, Material or Praxis.

All will have cool instrumentals covering a range of styles and darkness and majesty.

Try blind guardians for some generally epic music. In particular: [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P_K7Iy6IvKY&feature=related"]YouTube - Blind Guardian - Fallen Angel (Sacred 2)[/ame] .

Masterplan - Phoenix Rising : Short but an awesome ambience setter
Craig Armstrong - O Verona : Vaguely religious chanting sorta thing that would go great with the lich or paladin
Audiomachine - Blitzkrieg : It would be SO BADASS to play this when your uber golem comes out. Especially if you can get a soundbite of some giant stomping noises
2 Steps from Hell - False King Rock: Awesome sounding in general but would be particularly good if you made out your blackguard to be some kind of badass devil may cry sorta guy.

Also, you can just type in 'epic score' or 'immediate music' into youtube. More epic music than you can shake a stick at. The advantage of this is you can play all these songs straight from youtube. No downloading or anything. Finally, if you don't mind using an anime soundtrack, the Fairy Tail OST has some awesome songs. The theme of Erza is a good song to kick butt to, though it might be too actiony for an rpg.

They're all awesome o.o
:3

For now I know I'm using <Not decided, but these are the main candidates>:
Blackguard: Two steps from hell and Carmina Burana for the fight.
Thrower: Knife Chase - Tom Waits Dervish: Djobi Djoba - Gipsy Kings
Monk: Blitzkrieg

Although, even when I'm using that song for the fight with the monk, I need some gregorian chant; it just seems suitable. He's or it's. At an underground temple, between two islands , sat at the middle of a round room with statues and the party has to create a solar eclipse to awaken him. It just seems suitable.

And no, my Blackguard is not as cool as Dante, but my religous NPCs tend to be oriental-like and believe in balance and yadda yadda. So even when he has to kill the party he'll show respect and whatnot.

Even when I hope to receive more, thanks for the help until now.

For the monk, you might want to search for Kodo: they're a Japanese tycho-drum group, and some of their stuff is truly epic...some sinister...all cool

Here's the end credits from The Hunted, for example:

just check my earlier post in case you missed it...

Eastern huh... well, this is a nice sounding song... but trust me when I say you might not want to know what it means.

Also, sorry if this is bein a downer but eastern paladins are highly unlikely since paladins are a purely western thing. The closest equivalent would be the religious monks. Note that Eastern monks are not nescesarily religious, they just train and live at a temple. Many martial arts temples, the Wudang temple for example, are more concerned with enlightenment and physical discipline rather than actually worhiping a god and his teachings and aren't much more religious than your average commoner.

Do want.

I know what you mean, I kinda expressed it wrongly. I meant my religious NPCs tend to be calmer than the usual fanatic (they show respect towards other worshippers of enemy gods and the like <A lot funnier to see the good cleric trying to keep his cool towards a Wee Jas acolyte>). Unless I want him to be a fanatic.
I've played a lot of games and the religious fanatic bores me. And everyone knows that on a heavy role playing game, it's a lot more fun and entertaining to fight with arrogance, pride and mental power than just throwing dice and screaming a god's name.
