Epic Toughness . . . just a little more epic!

So I was reading through the epic feats file of the SRD again today when something jumped out at me.

Epic Toughness grants +30 hit points.

I could have sworn that the Epic Level Handbook said that Epic Toughness grants +20 hit points. So I went searching and yes, there's a +10 point difference between the two.

Anyone have any idea why the feat in the SRD is more powerful? Did I miss something somewhere?

Typo, conveniently made just as some SRD-writer's character was reaching Epic levels?

The most likely scenario IMO.

I would just be happy with 30 hp's at this point! Total.

Most likely it was done to keep the feat worthwhile. The nonepic feat Improved Toughness (which grants +1 hp/Hit Die) is immediately a better choice for a 21st-level character or 21-HD creature, as it would give 21 hp.

That feat appears in Complete Warrior, Libris Mortis, and MMIII.

Of course, it can only be taken once, while Epic Toughness can be taken repeatedly. Still, I think it was a good change.

I'm trying to remember the Update document. I don't believe Epic Toughness was one of those feats that got adjusted.

Weird.
