Equip My Evil Warlord!

Gort

Explorer
Okay, I've been playing this guy from level 3 and I love the character. Lately, our GM gave us five years worth of downtime, and told us that we can rearrange our equipment in any way we wish, as long as the total does not exceed 400,000 gold pieces in value.

Here's the character, before equipment is added:

Gort
Human 8th Level Fighter/10th Level Warrior of Darkness

Str: 18
Dex: 16
Con: 17
Int: 14
Wis: 10
Cha: 13

Warrior of Darkness Powers:

SR 20
DR 3/-
Darkling weapon (can add any +1 bonus to a weapon, takes 3 rounds)
Demon wings (fly for 10 minutes)
Malign fury (take an extra move action 3 times per day)
Dark senses (tremoursense for 60 feet)

Feats:

Weapon Focus Longsword
Greater Weapon Focus Longsword
Weapon Specialisation Longsword
Improved Critical Longsword
Lightning Reflexes
Iron Will
Tyrant (Like Leadership, but no cohort and more minions)
Dodge (Houseruled to +1 dodge bonus to AC against all)
Improved Toughness
Indomitable (One of Hong's charisma feats, gives +1 luck bonus to AC)
Unyielding Soul (Hong feat, take damage instead of suffering the effects of a mind-affecting effect)
Fortunes Favour (Hong feat, one reroll per day)
Close Quarters Fighting

Since they're important to the plot, the following two items do not factor into the 400,000 gold piece limit.

Crown of Evil: Grants following powers:
Immunity to fire
+4 enhancement bonus to strength
+4 deflection bonus to AC
SR 20
Wall of fire, create undead, three times per day, CL 20.

Scepter of Evil: Grants following powers:
+4 enhancement bonus to charisma
Fear, fireball, contagion and enervation, three times per day, CL 20.

So, feel free to munch Gort in any way you wish. He usually uses a longsword, tower shield and full plate armour, but if you can find a better weapon for him to use, or a better fighting style, go for it. I can probably talk my DM into letting me re-do my weapon feats, assuming it's not too big a change.

Geez, a customer of mine, plus the chance to twink out. How could I resist?

Rough-and-ready shopping list, assuming the DM doesn't have issues with swapping item slots around:

98000 sword +4, unholy ghost touch
64000 full plate +5, ghost touch
64000 hvy shield +5, med fortification
36000 belt Con +6
36000 gauntlets Str +6
18000 ring nat armour +3
16000 winged boots
16000 amulet Wis +4
12000 bracers of speed (as boots)
25000 cloak resist +5

385000 total

The only thing different than Hong I would do, is take away Ghost Touch on the Sword, because you probably won't need it, and get rid of something else...I dont have my DM guide handy...but I'd bump the sword to +3 keen Vorpal myself....just my opinion

Hong's list looks good!

My change: I'd mithral the full plate for 10K - worth it to take advantage of your dex. I'd also get a ring of freedom of movement for 40K. Dumping the belt of giant strength would make enough cash and you already have +4 from the evil crown.

Would then leave you with 1000 left over. Perhaps some loose change :)

Boots of Teleportation could be a well spent 49K to have your own 3/day transportation. Or 10k for the cape of the mountebank. Both good for that quick exit! And they'd both need to be 're-slotted'.
