Equipment for a "Diviner" (lvl 20 Archivist)

Well, at maybe an Archivist 15/Somethingelse 5, but still focusing on the Divination aspect... sort of a wandering oracle.

3.5 has incresed the casting time of many "scouting" divinations to 10 minutes. How about a feat or magic item to reduce that?

Wands and scrolls of lower level divinations are great for excreting a continuous stream of divinations during an adventure. Augury is good for "Is what we are able to do stupid or good?", even in epic levels. A wand or a magic item of arcane eye and claravoyance would bring these useful but little-used spells in play.

Helm of telepathy is good for reading the minds of low level NPCs, but the low save makes it tough to use on high level opponents. But it's great for interviewing several dozen people and checking to see what they really are thinking. It's also great to find all of the high INT members of a population, and could possibly flush out a villain hiding among other people.

Crystal Ball means being able to scry at will, and I believe it circumvents the 10 minutes casting time. The best crystal balls allow you to sense things that a regular scry doesn't.

Rod of Alerness not only grants you the ability to use many low level divinations at will, it has a unique (and nearly impossible to circumvent) ability to detect attackers. Having Rods of enemy detection would grant you several more uses in a day for this effect.
