An NPC has 2000 I believe for CR/EL 2.

This is for an upcoming character. World is homebrew and I'm playing a warmage. Might be ok though, just very low on magic items. Which I suppose is by design.

Well, since you asked for recommendations...

What kind of armor are you going with, since Warmages can wear armor? Any weapons or are you going to be a "pure" offensive magic user?
