Erfworld over on GITP

At first, I *really* didn't like it. I thought it was stupid, with all the child talk. But, than Parson showed up, and things got much more interesting, and I find myself actually looking forward to the next strip.

I think it will get good, really good, assuming it doesn't go on hiatus or whatnot, with the generally negative views of it.

I agree - it started off slow, but has really captured my interest now :)

And I have to admit, I enjoy the little quips of the peeps and "PLOT" being the noise made when he teleports.

I like how the strip plays with time a bit by laying jokes that can't be understood until later strips give you the information to get them. The prime example of this, to me, is how Stanley {the Tool } demands a Warlord who "snacks on Gwiffons and eats Marbits for breakfast!" in #17, which makes two items in earlier strips take on much greater significance. First: Jillian, in #7, flies into her Prince's camp riding a marshmallow peep- which is apparently called a "gwiffon" in Erfworld. Then, in #15, Parson starts the day's strip by eating a marshmallow peep, and noting to his friend that the marshmallows in Lucky Charms (which one typically eats for breakfast) are called "Marbits."

Reading older strips with the knowledge of newer ones makes the older ones take on new meaning, thus Erfworld is now showing high re-read value. It may not be OotS, but it's a worthy read in its own right. :D

Yeah, my first impression was that it was ok, but nothing great.

Recent strips have seriously raised my estimation of it. As with previous posters, the strips introducing Parson are the main reason for this. :)

And check out Parson's web comic. It's actually a little like partially clips, if the clip art was always of a hamster.

There is a reason 26 views was his new record...

So painfully bad, yet I couldn't turn away. :p

The Auld Grump

Yeah, it's starting to grow on me. The last strips were nice. Not LOL great, but amusing to the point I'm looking forward to seeing the next one.

I'm now waiting for it almost as much as I wait OotS, but not for the same values, each one can't be directly compared. OotS has something very tangible each strip, however I still don't know why I like erfworld. But I like it.
