I can't attach Microsoft Publisher, so I cant really help you. But it's possible to do in publisher... I made a few for my players, and they look like this i pdf format. Sorry

Did you try zipping it first, then attaching it?

I think you'll find this helpful. I use Shado's Character Sheet THE BEST combination of ease of use plus detail. It's really fantastic!

There is also a writable version probram if you'd like.

Here's a quick scan and edited fillable pdf of the basic essentials character sheet. It does some simple calculations like bloodied/surge value and attribute bonus/skill totals.

Thanks for this sheet. I was a little lost with the Ability Check Modifier and the Ability Modifier. I thought the two would just add the same.

Ability Modifier is the bonus derived from the ability score. Ability Check Modifier includes the half level bonus, and is what you add to a d20 if you make a straight ability check (instead of a skill check). So, if you have a 10th level character with a strength of 14, s/he would have a strength ability modifier of +2, and a strength check modifier of +7. Does that clarify things?

Yeah, it does actually. I misunderstood even the standard character sheet and thought that both fields would increase. Can't believe I messed up that bad.
