Eternal Darkness...

I recently picked up a copy of Eternal Darkness for the GameCube. Two weekends ago I picked up a GameCube. From everything I had heard it sounded like an interesting game so I bought it used. So far I am having a blast. I'm about 10 hours into the game and it does a very good job at being creepy and scary. My big question though is this setting basically Cthulhu with serial numbers filled off?

From what I've read, it sounds like it. I've read some reviews and stuff of the game, and while it doesn't steal any distinctive elements from the Cthulhu Mythos, its extremely Lovecraftian in feel.

I really gotta get that...after I get my Gamecube Q modded...

I ran empty on my insanity meter...then walls started bleeding, the volume meter on my screen went empty without my changing anything.....and then my head exploded and I was like.....MY GOD THAT WAS FRIGHTENING!.....and then I proceeded to put on a fresh pair of shorts.

BTW..I'm not a puss, I just didn't know about the insanity effects at that point in time.
