Evasion as item cost?

How much would the Evasion property as part of a magic item cost? It would function automatically for the wielder of the item (a lance) but only against the breath weapon of a dragon (restriction cost reduction?).

Evasion has an item cost. Look for the ring of evasion in the 3.5 DMG or SRD I suppose. You gain evasion the same as a rogue would have it as long as you are unarmored (might be lightly armored) or unencumbered or something along those lines. Almost as good as a thief but Its pretty expensive. I don't have the cost on me now though.

In 3.0 the ring of evasion has a market price of 25,000 gp.

Of course, I'm in the camp that would only allow it in a magical ring, so as to avoid breaking down the craft-feat and body-slots systems.

Strictly as written, the Ring of Evasion can be used in medium or heavy armor unless you're a Rogue or a Monk.

I would probably price an evasion item with the restriction "only against dragon breath" at 12,500 gp, ie a 50% discount compared to the ring.
