The door to The Hanged Man swings open once more, and a human with short-cropped red hair and a short, stubbled, red beard walks in the door. He's wearing a light, mail hauberk, with the hood pulled back, resting on his back. A long sword hangs in a scabbard at his waist from a belt that cinches his tunic over a pair of hose lined with studded, leather armor. Tied to the scabbard are a pair of leather bracers that dangle, as yet unused, slapping softly against the scabbard with each step. Emblazoned on the chest of his hauberk is a crest in the shape of a large, billowing sail, depicting a lighthouse, sending its beacon over a rocky shore, with two icons to either side. One appears to be a bloom of cotton, while the other is in the form of a standing sheaf of wheat. The man looks to be of some importance, and though he is armed, he hardly looks like the kind of person who can survive for vary long in a melee. In fact, though he is still rather young, he looks tired as if he has not had a good rest in a long time. His face is browned from the sun, his body smelling of sweat and the sea. The man looks around the tavern critically as if wondering whether or not he is in the right place. The look quickly fades, however, into a resigned smile and sigh of confidence when he sees the dragon's head on the wall and the lizard, under the table, munching on a dragon wing. He walks up the bar, orders a drink, and turns addressing the tavern in a surprisingly commanding voice, "Gentlemen...oh...and ladies, my name is Jahred Birkand, and I've come a long way to this place on the word of a reliable friend looking to bring a few of you back with me," he turns interrupted by the delivery of his drink, "Many thanks," he raises his mug gratefully to the bartender and continues to the crowd, "in an attempt to eliminate a source of violent and organized crime that threatens to ruin my city," he pauses to gauge the response and sip on his ale, not hearing any immediate reaction, he adds, "As City Constable, I am authorized to compensate you handsomely for your efforts."[OOC]Adventure Hook for Levels 7-9 (maybe even 10).[/OOC]
