Ever wanted to be the Emperor of an entire empire, instead of the treasure-hunting barbarian? I’m looking for two or more players for the Rokugan Industrial Revolution. The game puts each player in charge of his or her own Clan, Country, Cult, Club, or Crazed Conglomeration of Evil. Each power (the C words) has an army, mages, incredible heroes, and a goal. All of these things are your decision to command, create, control, and cut open.
The game is played in turns, and each turn only requires a player to make one post at Enworld in The IR Startup Thread. You can always post more than once, but the one post minimum is a must. Each turn will take about a week of time, depending on the amount of posts collected over a week. Every turn represents one full year of In Character time.
What you choose to do with your power is up to your imagination. There is no limit on what is possible. Your power can create an epic spell to destroy an entire civilization, create an artifact with the power to imbue your army with invulnerability to non-magic weapons, trade with other players to gain new information and weapons, design a trap that will obliterate your enemies, and whatever you can imagine.
The rules that exist are merely tools used by players to get what they want, but they are in no way the standards of the game. Players can accomplish some amazing things that go beyond normal standards. Your choices are yours alone. You can play a traditional Clan Daimyo, or a bloodthirsty Gaijin Warlord with the only drive being to take your enemies name from him.
I offer my assistance in teaching players how to play. If your intimidated by the rules, ignore them and imagine the situation as if it was real and simply tell me what you want to do. The game is about creativity, not the rules.
If you are interested, you can choose any of the powers still available, or make your own:
The Dragon Clan
The Blood Speakers
There are hundreds of other options pending only that you think of them, however the two that are mentioned are key and NEED players to fill those slots in order to have a full game. The game is about being the general instead of the Knight in Shiny Armor, and about being a god instead of a cleric. I leave it to you to decide whether you join or not.
