I've got alot of friends that play Everquest and Ultima Online. I even tried UO so I could spend more time with them, cause it seemed that was all they were doing. We would waste half of our D&D sessions talking about what their EQ/UO character did the pervious week. Got to a point that I couldn't get in touch with anyone cause the phone was always busy. Acutally even made me think about leaving our D&D game cause I was so sick of hearing about online games. I admit the games are fun, and it's a fairly harmless past time. The problem I see with it is anything to excess can be bad. It's ruling their life. I went over to my best friends house the other night to hang out, and he wouldn't leave his computer. I don't blame the game, I blame my friends. And well in my opinion it's kinda sad that the real world doesn't offer more to them.
