Everyone is a cleric!

The cleric is dead.

They're just not that good. Warlords and paladins eclipse them by a long shot.

But, most importantly, with the Initiate of the Faith feat, everyone can heal themselves!

This is going to be the new "must have" feat. It's way over-powered.

What do you think?

I'm going to say that's a negatory, good buddy. The ability to heal at range as a minor action for more than any other class in the game twice per encounter is still awesome. The Cure X Wounds spells are awesome for their ability to not use up healing surges(I actually ran out second combat last night in our KotS game)

You don't get to do it enough times with the feat. Plus, not everyone wants to be a healer.

Cleric seemed pretty good to me - a melee cleric needs fewer attributes than a paladin, so he can actually hit harder.

The MC feat isn't bad (actually, the warlord one seems better for many characters). However, a 1/day heal doesn't really compare to having a better version of the power 2 or more times per encounter. It's handy to have the MC feat if the group is otherwise lacking in healing or to bring your normal healer up.

Disagree.

Paladins are barely mediocre at healing other people; warlords are much better but still not as good as a cleric. Warlord powers focus more on tactical advantages, while cleric powers grant more numerical advantages. Both warlords and clerics can use their healing powers 2/encounter, as opposed to Initiate of the Faith which is 1/day (and adds no ability modifier). Clerics also have some badass attack "spells," rivaling wizards in many cases.

Do clerics still get ritual casting as a bonus? They did at DDXP, and it would make sense for healing rituals.

The cleric in my own group has proved her worth and saved the entire party more than once. Yes, others can heal, but the cleric is still easily best at healing.

Just looking at the level 6 utility powers here:

Daily, Standard, Cure Serious Wounds: Target heals as if they had spent 2 healing surges
Encounter, Minor, Bastion of Health: Target can spend a healing surge, plus your CHA bonus
Daily, Minor, Divine Vigor, Close Burst 5: Each target regains the use of Second Wind

I'd love to have a Cleric in my party.
