Everything in 3.5e doesn't suck!!!

A public service announcement...

I don't think everything in 3.5e sucks.
i think some things in 3.5e have merit.

Just one example example.... adding grapple to the stat block... this doesn't suck.

For those confused, i am only trying to placate my detractors as Wizardru advised in this other thread.

It is my fondest wishes that many defusings will follow this vital post!

Do you feel defused yet?

I'll wait...

I just think you could have defused many detractors by making it clear with one sentence that you saw some merit in 3.5 somewhere, but not here. YMMV.

Still defusing?

(looks at watch)

Arw we there yet?

Well I hate to say it but thats actualy a good example of my actual problem with you.
But yes I at least am diffused about the 3.5 sucks thing. And I apologize again for thinking so.

I never got the feeling that you thought it sucked.

There will be things in it not everyone likes, but that cannot be helped. Heck, there's things in 3.0 that not everyone can agree on, or that some people ignore because they think they "suck".

If there's one thing that 3E has taught me is that "change is good". I'm fairly confident that I will like most of the changes they're making (notice even I said "most", not "all").

It'll just be impossible to tell until we see it.

I guess you could consider me defused if it makes you feel better :D

AHAH! the first satisfied customer!!!

And here i thought we might need better marketting.

OK, with this initial surge, it is time to open the market.

I invite everyone who has had some reasoned and considered concerns or even those who have reached thought out dissatisfactions with 3.5e to chime in here.

No, i am not asking for you to list your dislikes.

instead i am asking you to sign on to the "everything doesn't suck about 3.5e bandwagon."

After you post your entry here and name at least one aspect of 3.5e that you find to not completely suck, you can then accept the mantle of "open minded thinker" and then...

the next time that some open-minded pro-3.5er purports that your reasoned and specific complaints should be dismissed because you just think everything in 3.5e sucks, you have PROOF to show them and can keep on with your reasoned debate.

Sign ups are free and membership for the first millenium is free.

Another satisfied customer...

BTW, a marketting poll... i am considering adding free tea for new members.
Do you prefer sweetened or unsweetened?

I never said your complaints should be dissmissed and I dont REMEMBER anyone ele saying that either.

Although I did say I partialy or completely disagree with them....quite different tho

sign me up. Not everything sucks in 3.5e. Oh and unsweetened tea, sweetened tea is some nasty invention that thankfully doesn't darken my California sky's. Southern cooking had so much going for it and then they wrecked it all with sweetened tea.(wait not all things southern suck, and not all things culinary things of the south suck whew dodged another bullet there)

Thanks Shard...

As a born and bred member of Occupied America, i can assure you that no offense was taken, nor any grandiose extension to implicate all southern cuisine, as a result of your post.

Matter of fact, i don't like any teas i have tried myself, including this odd thai orange tea thingy. they all taste like dishwater to me. (Which has led many to question my OA heritage i might add.)

Now, to add something to keep this on topic, See my sigline for my even further attempts at bending over backwards for the pro-3.5ers.

Npw, every post i make will have the obligatory defusive pro-3.5e comment in it.

i can only dream of all the defusings and possibly even mass-defusings going on if this trend catches on.

I am experiencing an almost physical tingling at the very thought of it.

Attention Shard...

We here at the command center must regretfully temporarily suspend your membership.

You failed to follow the instructions.

You need to provide a list of at least one specific thing about 3.5e that does not suck.

A general statement that not everything in 3.5e doesn't suck has been run past the lawyers and found to fall just a bit short.

We encourage you to reapply and we are sure that when you list that one thing that doesn't suck, your membership will be approved on the spot.

Thankyou for your interest.

one thing that doesn't suck. I like the hint in the dungeon magazine that martial weapon proficiency feats will be more than a speciifc weapon and instead a small group of weapons like two handed weapons or some such.

Also I like the hint at the new rogue ability that we suspect will allow rogues to auto-detect traps if they pass within 5' of the trap which will speed up the tedious move 5' search roll thing, again found in dungeon magazine.
