Evil clerics sacrificing and getting killer bonuses

I don't think it's overpowered. Clerics get some nice bonuses, but they are mostly adequate to their level. I think that the cleric shouldn't have received a powerful magic item for a limited wish - but that's a problem with your DM's interpretation of limited wish, rather than something with the sacrifice rules. A limited wish shouldn't be able to create magic items.

Why post a second thread the day after the first one, with the exact same content?
I think that's the second time he soon after made a duplicate of a thread he started. Strange. Maybe subscribing to threads would help him find a thread he started again later. :)

Not permanent ones anyways.

Now say if the Cleric received the flail when it would help with a major conflict...and then afterwards it returns to it's rightful owner.

I could even see being generous and allowing one of the cheaper potions, but weapons are way too much. Well, maybe except for a few rounds of +1 ammunition.

He was given a flail of hextor via a limited wish granted after a particuliarly successful sacrifice !!!

He got that from a Limited Wish??? So what can you get with a real Wish??? The problem here isn't the sacrifice rules; the problem is that your DM is appearantly throwing magic items around him!

Or maybe the problem is that you don't have all the facts? You mentioned in yesterday's (identical) thread that there was more to the flail, but the guy who has it wouldn't say what it was; maybe there's some significant drawback to it? Maybe even something as bad as the Death Rock's (BoVD) "unfortunate" side-effect. ;)

posted duplicate thread because of new

in the original I didnt know it was a limited wish that got him the flial, so I posted a second to update info. And I was hoping somebody would relate too the sacrifice abilities of the cleric or expand on the topic anyways.....thanks

It's less confusing if you add the new post to the existing thread, though. :)
