Exalted d20?

Hi everybody,

Is there anyone who would like to see White Wolf do a d20 conversion for Exalted? I don't believe its going to happen, because WW is pretty tight about its rule system, but it occurs to me that, as the setting is anime-flavored, it should be adaptable to BESM-like rules. My players like the setting, but aren't much on Exalted rules.

I've got a drafted deity system that could reflect the Solar Exalted fairly well in a standard D&D system. E-mail me directly if you and your players would be willing to playtest.

What I'd like to see is a revised Epic Level Handbook which focuses more on cinematic, high power rules so as to allow D&D players to simulate the flavor of Exalted in their campaigns...

Although I've already asked on this and other forums for suggestions on how to simulate Exalted's flavor with D&D, and was pleased with the answers I got.

Where did you ask? I'd like to see what people have come up with.

IMHO, no.

The rules are a huge bit of Exalted's flavor. To cram them into a d20 framework would do the game a huge disservice.

Again, all IMHO.

On the other hand:

DragonFist was one of the major inspirations for Exalted and it was developed for AD&D so it certainly is theoretically possible that it might come full circle.

Or rather full Spiral given the changes in the original system.

Ah, Spirals, so delightful....

Anyone know where DragonFist might be found?

It's possible. But not something that I'm enthused over.

But skills? Eh. Feats? Slightly less eh. And aren't those staples of being part of the D20 system (aside from having the social stats all dumped into CHA).

It can be done mind you, as half of each Exalted book I've gotten my hands on is 'fluff', and that comprises a chunk of what makes the system what it is. And, unless I'm trying for a more realistic game, I'm going to use stunts in some form in every game I DM from here on out (it's worked wonders in spycraft).

Skills are already part of Exalted. Charms and Feats are fairly similar.

A good translation rather than reinterpretation would probably have to be OGL.

On the other hand, I would love to have a d20 system game with really fast magic, ala charms, for everyone and really slow magic, ala sorcery, for a few.
