I loved ... *erk!* ... okay won't get sidelined here ... just that Eye of the Beholder was a fantastic game! ... I had so much fun trying to take out the beholder at the end, I laughed hard at the many ways my party was slaughetered, feared and stoned

Ah, yes, the infamous Xanthar the beholder. He is so easy to trap with this little trick: Wand of Silvias + Invisibilty on the whole party (Invisibility potions rock).

Peice of cake, really. (I have personally beaten the game 50+ times, and I still love playing through it. How many of todays games have that level of playability?)
