Excellent Jonrog1 interview about the D&D comic!

My understanding is that the "Adventure Variant" is just a variant cover mimicking a D&D module cover.

I could be wrong, though.

it's a bit of both from what I gather, a variant cover that looks like a module but contains playable content.

From the interview:

Nrama: Tell us about the D&D campaigns included with each book. How were these developed?

Rogers: That’s the Wizards of the Coast guys. It’s a mix of character stats for people occurring in the books and then one-offs. They’ll do those in house, as they’re the rules experts, as they see the scripts and books come down the production pike. And even separate from those materials, I hope some GM’s find cool, stealable stuff in the book itself.

From my understanding, every issue will have game-related content, not just the module cover ones.

I don't know how it's look, but I assume it could be stats for a character or villain in one issue, then another issue could have a combat encounter that appeared in the comic, or somesuch.

EDIT: I'm using the phrase "my understanding" way too much. :p

each issue is $3.99 and about the the adventure content your comic retailer receives 1 adventure for every 10 copies of the comic he orders. How much is the adventure? No idea what they'll charge for that. Maybe they'll price them according to what they are fetching on Ebay like they do with the variant covers.

I'm pretty sure there is no separate adventure, module, or supplement of any kind. I believe what you are talking about is simply a variant cover. Every issue contains game content, a stat block or two and such. Issue #0 models what they are doing pretty well, I think.
