Excerpt: Eberron Player's Guide: Introduction

We already have the Warforged Juggernaut Paragon Path from Dragon

Which just makes this triply wierd:
1) Why is it listed as a prestige class?
2) If it is a paragon path, why is it an excerpt if we already have it?
3) If it isn't a paragon path, why is it the same name as an existing paragon path?

Your 'we' might not include non-subscribers, including me. ;)

That specific Dragon issue is one of the free ones, before D&D Insider got into gear.

But I won't disagree with putting relevant stuff in the Eberron PG instead of referring to a bunch of Dragon issues.

I don't really mind them reprinting the Warforged Juggernaut in the Eberron PG, but I do hate seeing them rehash already released material as previews. I want to see new and shiny stuff. My exception to that is if it significantly changed from then til now. I'd much rather have new material previewed and have them add something saying "Hey, if you want to see more Eberron material, check out this free issue of Dragon with material on Warforged in it!"

BTW, they changed "prestige class" to "paragon path" as expected.

I do have to say that despite the typo, I do like knowing the preview schedule in advance. Did anyone notice that the tidbit from the intro that said that magewrights were ritual-based? My guess is that the ritual list will lean heavily towards artifice, binding, and crafting and that you can substitute dragonshards for residuum or ritual components.

I think they are reprinting the Warforged Juggernaut, because I think they are also reprinting the Warforged race.

Now even though they have said that the Warforged race would reappear in the Player's Guide before, but many people have denied that fact. And the statement in itself about the Warforged appearing in a future release (in the article about playing Warforged FR and Genasi in Eberron) also had a typo that said they were appearing in the Campaign Setting.

My disappointment is that the "core 11" of Eberron preview isn't nothing we don't already know; its practically verbatim from the ECS.

I don't mind its being put in the 4e books, but it makes a poor preview for us Eberron fans...

Ah, but you now know that Eberron has not changed much. Unlike some other realms that I can't seem to remember at the moment. :p
