Let me put it this way: in my game, one of the PCs is a minor noble, and currently is responsible for a large town, manor/keep and the local environs. Prior to this book, I've been winging it...now I don't have to.
I'd already stated the Brindinford's chief export and form of commerce was it's quarries, but I never had any idea how much money a limestone or granite quarry could generate, or how much the town would see of it. Again, now I do.
This is the kind of book I've always wanted: enough detail to let me fill in the holes, without the detail I don't want.
My fervent hope now is that ERP will work on more such books, if this one is received well enough.
