Expanded Intelligent Item Powers?

Hey all,

Quick question here. Does anyone know of any expended Intelligent Item Powers tables in any d20 books? I'm just wondering if there is anything more out there before the DMG.

Thank you!

Well, although they're 3e, the 3e DMG and the Arms & Equipment Guide both have lots of additional abilities that aren't in the 3.5 DMG. For some reason, they toned down a lot of the Intelligent Item abilities- a lot of the more powerful ones simply weren't transferred (such as the Disintegrate Dedicated Power), while certain others were made more powerful (such as the True Resurrection ability- normally, it only functioned once, ever, and now it's once per month or something). Weird.

Monte Cook's Book of Eldritch Might III has an excellent system for running intelligent magic items -- basically treating them as construct characters and allowing them to take levels in a "magic item" class."Levels in the class allow for new item feats and abilities. Sounds just like what you're looking for.

You can get the pdf for under $10.

Thanks fellows!

I hadn't gotten around to pulling my 3.0 book back out yet. Wasn't quite sure what they had in there. Hopefully a few ideas can be culled and converted without too much pain.

As for Eldritch Magic, I wasn't aware it had anything like that. Thank you! I'll make sure to look into it.
