Expanding the list of improved familiars

Cool. Good book tho. Just for kicks, what level do you think you would have to be to control a dragon as a familiar? Or could you? What aboute a Roc?

Er - no. Perhaps at 30th? I assume humor - but if not..... the familiars from improved familiar are of size small or less, while the samples in the complete warrior go up to large - but these familiars require not only a caster level, but a high base attack as well. So - if your serious, I'd be waiting till epic to see these fellows. And, you do know that familiars love to sit on their master's shoulder or lap, right?

Heh

As for the toad, if the dragon could FIND the toad, THAT's when you start worrying.:] :] )

Actually there are guidelines for dragon familiars in the Draconomicon. They only agree to remain familiars in the wyrmling stage. As soon as they age into the next category, the familiar bond is broken and they are free to be fully independent beings again.

Hopefully, the master was intelligent enough to not abuse the dragon. Familiar's learn far too many of their master's secrets to allow one to gain its freedom while its pissed at the former master.

Well, I'm a dead man.:p

You must be 7th level to have a dragon as a familiar.

Granted, that's a PSEUDOdragon, but it's still a [dragon] type. ;)

Spider

While a Tiny or Small Wyrmling is OK, a Medium Wyrmling (red, silver, gold) would be somewhat too much, I think.
