Expansion 1r/lvl or 1min/lvl

Typo in the Expanded Psionic handbook?

In the descriptor the power is listed as 1min/lvl

In the body of the text as an augment option:
pay 2 pp to change the duration from one round lvl to one min a level.

As a rounds speel its just about worthless at lvls one and two. Anyone hear a clarification on this?

Worthless at level one (although even then you'd have the increased reach for one round). You would get some use of it at level two.

The errata for the XPH, unfortunately, confuses the matter even more:

Page 105-106: Expansion Power
The third option for augmenting the power should read
as follows:
3. If you spend 2 additional power points, this power’s
duration is 10 minutes per level rather than 1 round per
level.

Hi!

Although I don't own the XPH, custserv@wotc explained several times that the text of the description overrides any table entry.

Therefore it should be 1 r/l

Yup, I think it's one round per lvl, augmentable to 1 min or 10 min per lvl. Makes sense to me.

Is it "personal"? That might change the perceived power level.

yes, expansion is personal.

Between the two of them (enlarge person and expansion) expansion starts out worse, but it can be augmented to be better eventually.

Enlarge person: 1 round casting time, close range, 1 minute per level (only works on humanoids)
Expansion: 1 action casting time, personal, 1 round per level (only works on you)

Trading in a 1 round casting time for 1 action is very nice, but then loseing the ability to use it on others and cutting the duration by 1/10 is rough

IIRC, Expansion could be used by already large characters... CR 8 large Psywarrior (LA +1 race) expanding by two size categories... Ouch.
