Expeditious Retreat Press = Da Bomb

Gaming Frontiers Subscriptions

Hello all,
All subscriptions for Gaming Frontiers Volume 5 were mailed out. I apologize for my lack of ability to reply to emails but my computer majorly crashed over two weeks ago and I JUST got it up and running this past weekend. I have lost some data so if you haven't received your copy yet email me with your name and address and I'll get another copy out this week.

I also had a problem at the post office when I mailed them. I had so many packages that day the postal scale froze and lost the entire order. We got it worked out but the packages got shuffled a half dozen times as we manually re-calculated the postage since almost all of the packages had been stamped already. It's very possible something got misplaced in the moving around. I tried to make sure they all stayed together but once they go behind the postal wall there's not much I can do. I'm especially concerned about my overseas clients.

I know this sounds like a list of excuses but it's all true. Be that as it may, whether it's my fault or the post office, let me know if you didn't get your Volume 5. I sincerely apologize for the inconvenience.

I agree that Expeditious Retreat has some great customer service. My book came with a hand written thank you note.

I'm glad you liked the note. We try to send one out with every package, but sometimes one gets left out in the shuffle. I'm always afraid they come off as corny (Joe likes to tease me about them and calls them my "affirmative notes")

E-commerce doesn't let you interact with people the same way a physical store does, so I send a little note along. That way everyone feels good about the transaction. That's the way business should be done.

Back to the grind stone before Joe notices that my rapid typing is *not* going into my word document.

Got my copy of "A magical Medieval Society" today. What a great book (I've been wanting it since the "Mor's End" thread in Plots and Places). Most things I order online take a month or two to get out this took a week, I'm impressed.

MMS:WE was an awesome book. Rarely have I ever bothered to read a book cover to cover, and then pick it up again and again just to browse...and that includes flashier books like many of WotC's core line. But MMS was just chock-full of informative goodness, and was keyed to the kind of stuff I really wanted someone to write.

I eagerly await their next release, though it's months away, at this point.

Same here. It's the kind of book you can read cover to cover, then 6 months later, find something new. I expect I'll be printing out pages of my PDF copy for years to come.
