Experiences DMing Savage Tide [Adventures, Spoilers, Forked from Gargantuan Eel]

I agree about motivation. Once we were ship wrecked and tromped/tortured through the jungle to reach Farshore, we kinda thought, "This wasn't what we signed up for. Screw you, we wanna go home." Except the only way to accomplish this was to steal the Blue Nixie and we weren't going to do that.

Interestingly, we had tried to get a couple of gamer we know to join the group. They showed up once and twice, respectively. They both played wizards and I was hoping we'd be able to use them to Teleport back to civilization, if for no other reason than to gain proper supplies.

Our own wizard had 1 level of Rogue, so he didn't have access to 5th level spells yet. Then he didn't like his character anymore so when we got to Farshore he brought in a psion.

My kingdom for a wizard!

But I liked Paizo adventures. I'll pick up there stuff and read and reread. I haven't done that with Treasures of Talon Pass.

I ran Savage Tide for my group here at home. I think it took us about a year and a half to get thru it all but I did work in some of the Bastion of Broken Souls towards the end. It was going to be our last hurrah for 3.5 so I wanted to get the party higher than level 20 since the highest we had played prior was about level 17.

We had alot of fun playing it most of the way thru. If I had to choose a low point I'd say it was the portion that involved gathering the forces to attack Demogorgon. Also the party got a tad annoyed when Lavinia was captured by Vanthus in Farshore. They did not like having to save her again.

The group still seemed to enjoy it just not as much as the other parts. We had alot of highs though, it was really a fun game to run!
