Experimenting with Mapping

I'm just practicing with making my own world maps and thought that I would toss a small one up here to see what people think of the style and to allow for it to be used by others.

It is very clear and clean--the only problem might be that it's not all that decorative, if that is an issue.

I like it! In fact, I like it enough that I want you to tell me about the various locations that you have marked. Who lives there? What do they do? Do they all get along, or is there war between the various locales?

See, if you make people who look at it curious, I'd say you've done a good job.

However, speaking strictly artistically, I like the way you have the ocean fade to a slightly lighter blue near the shoreline. I like the colors, and I also like the tree and mountain symbols. The only thing I might consider changing would be the black line around the desert. Then again, you may have already tried that, and decided it didn't look right. All in all, good job!
