Extended Rest in the Horned Hold (spoilers)

Actually it states in the adventure, that room 11, on Page 12, says the store room is a safe place to rest because it is a rarely visited place.

Mind you my group didn't know that and retreated to the Labrynth, were they met and fought some crazy dwarf who called himself King.

But it does state they could of rested there.

It's true it says they could rest there. My concern was that if a patrol comes around because they didn't hear the 'all is well' call, then the scouts sent to investigate would have stumbled upon the site of a massacre, and would have raised full alarm, and searched every closet top to bottom (think metal gear solid). At least that's how I imagine it would go down.

I sorta winged a skill challenge where they needed to clean up all the blood and toss the bodies off the cliff. One of the PCs has Goggles Of Aura Sight, and learned that the duegar are immune to illusion, so the wizard couldn't just make it look clean - it had to be clean. He is an Eladrin, so he mage handed some buckets and mopped it up with the help of the thralls while the party disposed of the bodies. The whole time I rolled to see if they would get caught.

It was awesome. Then they went and handed Murklemor his ass.

'So twenty of our guards have gone missing, as well, this place is spotless. Not a bit of dirt in sight?'

'Yes, Orcratio. There's no evidence on where to look for our missing soldiers. On top of that, one of our treasure troves has gone missing. Do you think the soldiers deserted with the gold?'

Removes sunglasses.

'No, I don't. When you have a clean room, there is where you start your search for the dirtiest deeds.'

YYYYYEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH!

We're talking about orcs. They aren't known to be thorough or overly clever. No news is good news, especially if the thralls continue with their routine as per usual. ;) Less work means more time spent doing orcy stuff like drinking, cheating each other, trying to be alpha orc and slacking off.
