Facebook D&D Application

Very cool for a Facebook app. Almost all those kind of apps have timers or some such to stretch out the game because there's only so much content you can put in. It's meant to be running in the background at work where you check it every so often, not played like Neverwinter Nights 3 :P

It's not a game... it's marginally interactive fiction. The writing is decent and entertaining, and I can "play" it while playing my recently rediscovered X-COM.

Awww, go on.

Not only will I add you to my friends list, I'll even have my Warlord give you some bonuses on your adventure.

Facebook is pretty good about giving you control over the social drek spigot. I have mine turned down really, really low, and use FB almost exclusively for keeping in touch with far-flung friends and relatives. It's not very spammy, and it's there when I want to log in and check on folks.

(Or play Word Challenge!)

Well, I am member of meinVZ (German copy of Facebook)and Xing, and I basically never use it. Unless there is some automatic benefits that doesn't require me to interact with it (I don't know - I get money every month, or I get date from interested women stumbling over my profile - something like that), it would probably just be a waste... :(

"Games" require meaningful choices. The closest this comes is drinking the right potion as you move into the appropriate territory in order to maximize your chances of getting a food pellet-- err, I mean, of succeeding in the challenge.

But it is growing on me, in its own way.

Tell me more. Is there some new application of X-COM out there? Or are you just playing the old version in a dos emulator?

(Man, I love the flying football guns.)

Waugh! I'm totally addicted to this thing and I can't stop...and now there are too many users! I just hit third level!

This is like ProgressQuest only on Facebook. Somebody stop me!

And now I just got back into my character's inventory and every item he ever found has just been cloned. Blast is rich, RICH I TELL YOU!
