Factotum character help

Hey I need help with my 1st level Factotum for a Dragonlance campaign starting soon. What would be a good race from any core books including the races series, maybe Eberron and Forgotten Realms and of course Dragonlance setting to choose for my Factotum? Thanks

Given the factotum's focus on skills human seems to be the obvious choice. You can't have enough skill points.
And there is a feat on the WotC pages (Link ), that grants extra inspiration points. Makes a fine choice for the human bonus feat.

Silvanesti Elf works well, with their Intelligence bonus; also their racial superiority complex. Failing that, just stay away from anything with an Int penalty and you should be golden.

Take the Font of Inspiration feat a couple of times to really milk your high intelligence bonus.

I meant to add anything besides humans. I hate playing humans in D&D or any fantasy game.

I have a PbP I'm about to start with an illumian Factotum. While it's still on paper, right now the combination looks really good. Flavor wise the illumian personality and focus on versatility fits well with the Factotum. Mechanically, with the Aesh and Uur sigils combined with Brains Over Brawn, I have a +6 bonus on every Str and Dex based skill on top of the normal ranks and ability bonuses. I'm looking forward to starting play.

I don't know Dragonlance that well, but if there is any race or subrace that gives a bonus to INT without any LA, then grab it!

And there is usually some elf subrace that does exactly this.
