I thought I would throw one of these out. I live in Newtown, CT and am willing to drive up to an hour. Realistically, I can probably play every other week (I have a wife and child, so more would get me into alimony/child support land 
). I would be willing to join a group, or run D&D.
I am 29 years old, have been playing D&D since I was 10, and am a freelance game writer. I prefer (as a player) games where PCs drive the action. As a DM I pretty much require that PCs drive the action.
Alternatively, I am a member of a group that meets roughly 1/month in southern Mass (about an hour and a half from where I am) and we can always take new players.
Also, I am hostinga minicon/game day the last weekend in August (one day and night, maybe a game the next morning, plenty of sleeping space -- so far we have D&D, Shadowrun, and a plytest of an OGL based board game I am designing).
