Fantastic Four Pics in USA Today

Interesting pictures...I like the costumes, and while Thing does look a little screwy, he still looks like Thing. Now, if we can just get some pictures of them using their powers. Well, we've already got a lot of Sue Storm doing that. I hear she was in Spidey 2. ;)

I must say I wasn't really impressed by any of the pictures. Alba looks (read: based solely on appearance) as if she could be a passable Sue Storm, but everyone else looks pretty bleh, especially Johnny Storm.

I so completely agree on Johnny and Reed looking like twins. They definitely need to do something about that, especially if they're going with a younger Reed Richards.

Most look ok, I agree that Sue isn't meant to be sexy, but I'll be damned if I care.

Could anyone else have imagined Johnny played by seth green?

That would have been so much better, I thought he was blonde anyway-would have taken seth as a red head (not that smart about superhero stuff), and I think Chiklis is a good actor that costume---ugh. I know those are promo shots but...I am thinking more Hulk like and less Spidey like when it comes to quality of the look of the movie, and that is a shame.

My guess is they are switching the Storm brothers' powers:

Chris Evans might as well disappear

and

Jessica Alba looks red-hot!

ba-da-cha!

Thanks, folks! I'll be here all week!

Very 'early Kirby' Thing, indicates the costumers really were paying attention. And the photos are just good enough to see Reed's gray sideburns... or that's what I think I'm seeing, anyway. He does look eerily Johnny-like in the promo shots, but I'm sure that on-screen they'll be different (although I'm not very familiar with either actor, I'm sure that the little things - voice and body language and spontaneous combustion - will set them apart). And there's some level of uniform customisation to tell people apart. (Not that Sue or Ben need any distinction...)

Now we need to see Doom. If they're going to show Doom at all. He'll be the hardest to pull off - if the rumours about him being transmuted are true, it'll be easier in a way, because otherwise he runs the risk of being compared to his conceptual child Vader by the ignorant masses.

That's the classic Thing. Hopefully he will gradually morphed into the more popular contemporary appearance.

Well I would say it was attempt at the classic Thing. Which was more akin to dinosaur hide. He had a thick leathery, slightly bumpy epidermis.

This pic looks like orange scar tissue.

Ya know, Alba is looking pretty fine but Sue Storm isn't supposed to be "hot" per-se from my impressions. Alba can act, which is a plus. I think the entertainment value of the movie will hinge upon how badass Doom can be and the relationships between the F4 and him. If that all plays right then the rest will be gravy.

Sue actually had a successful modelling career. So I guess she was supposed to be hot. I guess being a mom and a wife started too take its toll... ;)

I agree the movie probably will pass or fail on Doom.
