Well after reading more about the new FF reboot http://screenrant.com/fantastic-four-movie-reboot-comic-book-differences/comment-page-1/ which says they wont be based on the comics, it has now moved to the wait for rental category for me. I honestly think fox is just doing this to hold onto the rights so they wont revert back to Marvel/Disney. I also find it odd to tell an actress not to brother reading the comics, I mean i would think that it would help you get an idea about the character.

Well, yes. Why do you think we've had two sequels to the D&D movie, and Spider-Man got a reboot so quickly? I'm just surprised there wasn't a reboot of Daredevil done before those rights reverted.

The more I read about this movie, the more it seems like a miss. When one of the main cast tweets that 'they're just making stuff up' on the fly, the director repeatedly states he wants something 'grounded', and also denies he ever made a superhero movie (Chronicle), as if that were some kind of filthy word, it's time to look elsewhere.

Later clarification seems to indicate that she meant the movie was not based on a specific storyline from the comics.

Which is not to say this will be a satisfying movie. I don't think it will be. While Chronicle was good, it is starting to sound like this will be "Chronicle, but with the FF as the characters".
