Fantastic Locations: Where are the levels?

So is it my imagination or does the 4th book in the Fantastic Locations series still not have a recommended level for the adventure inside?

The levels are listed in the "Introduction" of each one.

But that's on the inside no?

I know on the first three, the outside didn't have 'em.

I was just wonderng if the 4th one did as it's sealed (to prevent the map falling out) and I didn't see it on a cursorary glance.

As near as I can tell the level of the adventure isn't printed anywhere on the outside of the package. (It's 10th.)

One complaint I have with the Fantastic Locations series is that they're an excellent addition to the Basic Game except for the fact that they're all higher levels than the Basic Game can handle. And the one time I watched someone buy a copy was Christmas last year when a mother purchased Fane of the Drow for her kid to use with his copy of the Basic Game.

Hopefully the new Basic Game will go to a higher level so that this series can work directly with the Basic Game.

Thanks for the info Phil.

I can't possibly see what motivation they'd have for keeping this crucial piece of information off the cover.

I can only speculate that, for this series, the maps are considered the selling point and the adventure booklet is a throw-away extra.

It's definitely a well-done series but it doesn't really help new players get into the current game.

I keep hoping that WotC will create an introductory path into the game but so far each attempt seems geared more at selling minis than creating future RPG players. (Not that I blame them for this. If the minis are generating the percentage of their sales that I suspect they are then it makes perfect sense to support the minis path. I just want to see some activity aimed at the introductory RPG path. The Player's Kit, in my opinion, is a poor product to be considered introductory.)

I could be completely misremembering, but I don't think the third one actually told you which specific miniatures to use.

Does the fourth one pick up where the first two left off? (set and #)

It doesn't tell you which miniatures to use but it's definitely connected to the latest set (one of the characters in the adventure is "Meepo, Dragonlord").

Darn it, now I need more plasticrack.

I've got one of these and I hate it. Why, oh why did my rare mini from that booster have to be this waste of plastic? To me, this thing is worthless. I can't even find a way to trade it for something good.
