Fantasy Flight Games is having another sale . . .

The colonists have do deal with the Law, criminals, native terrorists, and the hostile environment if they are to survive and prosper.

And in the depths of Poseidon, strange creatures with uncanny powers move around, observing these new entities and making their own plans for the future...

The setting is superficially very close to Aquablue, a popular French comic. Although Blue Planet's authors had no knowledge of it, you find the same themes (ecology, ocean planet, mysterious life forms in the depths, conflict between large militarized corporations and underequipped natives...) in both. I wonder if Aquablue's been translated in English since.

Blue Planet sounds intriguing, but I have to ask myself if I really need more gaming books. Especially those that my group will never play because it's not a d20 system.

I hear you, but I do get enjoyment out of reading them and maybe I'd get lucky and get a campaign going. At these prices I think the risk of no game happening is worth it.

I agree.

As a teen I was notorious for collecting, reading and comparing all kinds of different rules systems and settings that we'd never play. I think I'm reverting to that again, and $5 corebooks certainly don't hinder the slide....

I figure asd long as I have the space to store the books (which I do) and I'm not taking money away from my rent and other bills, its okay. Also, I've found that I get to trade many of these books I'm never using for books that I never was able to get.

Really? It said $5 when I put it in my basket?

I emailed them about the pricing error on Darkness and . They responded and fixed the error within 90 minutes. So now I am getting eight books from them instead of seven. :)

philreed, many thanks for letting us know about the sale.

Regarding shipping, my eight cost $11.51 UPS Ground.

Thank you, Phil! Now I can replace my lost Dragonstar books!

Unfortunately, shipping to Hawaii's a bit expensive... but i'm not passing this by. It's still less than $50 for the 6 books I ordered, which is a very nice discount.

Well, then why not translate it to d20 Modern? Shouldn't be too difficult - most of the technology is fairly reasonable and an extrapolation of modern-day tech...
