fantasy movies with physic powers

I was wondering was there any there any fantasy (sword and sorcery) movies, tv show or anime that used pionic powers? The only one I can think of was the animated movie Fire and Ice that the main villian had.

There are lots of Psychics in Anime, the best would be Akira.

Also, Witch Hunter Robin is more Psionic then magical, the current S-cry-ed could be viewed as Psionic with Astral Constructs being created.

Escaflowne the Movie, or maybe even the TV series.

The abilities used in the movie are called magic, but much more resemble telekinesis.

You didn't really emphasize it in the list, though. Right off the bat, I can't think of a single movie of that genre that expressly uses psionics or psychic powers as different from 'magic' and Escaflowne may be the only even quasi-'fantasy' anime to use them (and really, that's just going on what the above poster said - I can't recall any psionic powers in it at all but it's been several years since I saw the series). Psychic powers as a different thing from magic and existing at the same time as it, as oppossed to being the magic of that world, is pretty much just a D&D-ism. Anime, with it's genre mixing, is probably going to be the only place you're going to see that.

Psychic (p s y c h i c) powers, aka psionics (p s i o n i c s) are a fairly modern conceptual invention, as something different from magic. There are plenty of modern films with psychic powers, like Firestarter, but there's little reason to use them in fantasy films.

The base concept behind psychic powers is that things that appear magical are, in fact, not, but are instead manifestations of the power of the human mind. This "we are the power" instead of "the power is out there" mindset has not been popular for the vast bulk of human history.

So sorry, no examples. I doubt you'll find any, as they don't make a lot of sense.

Wyrd Sisters is a Discworld video. I haven't seen it, but in the books, the witches powers are much more like psionics than magic.
Other than that I can't think of anything.

Movies with psionic powers, or movies with characters with psionic powers? I have my suspicoins about Underworld - I think that movie may possesses powers and compels people to enjoy it over, say, Battfield Earth, which is just splendeferous all on its own.

Sinbad & The Eye Of The Tiger, the one with Patrick Wayne (John's son). There's a blonde woman in it who uses telepathy. I think telepathy is mentioned in Hercules 2 with Lou Ferrigno. In the first, it's definitely not linked to magic (iirc, it's referred to as a science), but I'm not certain about the other one.

Hey, you didn't say they had to be good movies.

If you're including anime, Yu-Yu Hakusho features psychics battling demons.

Apparently I did write the question correctly which the statement "fantasy (sword and sorcery or D&Dish)" was to include all movies, tv show and/or anime that used pionic powers. So Anime that is a fantasy (sword and sorcery) genre that uses pionic powers or tv show (which I doupt it) that is the same.

But thanks for the replies though
