Fantasy Wealth System?

I've been toying around with dropping the wealth system into my fantasy campaign for awhile, but there's been one major stumbling block: no easy way to convert GP Costs to Purchase DCs.

Has someone already done this? If not, would folk be interested in doing it here?

Use 1sp = 1 dollar, and then use the conversion chart for dollars to DCs in d20 modern.

A Magical Medieval Society: Western Europe has just that. There are base DCs for all sorts of equipment and goods, and modifiers based on city size, location, etc. I've used the DC-based prices in my campaign for some time, and it works extremely well.
