Farscape worth watching?

I used to watch Farscape a bit, enjoyed the ideas and setting and so on, but the show had one giant flaw that I just couldn't get past- I hated the main character John Crichton. Not an enjoyable, love-to-hate him kind of feeling, I just couldn't stand him. Almost every word out of his mouth made me want to change the channel; I felt bad for Earth being represented by this arse. All the other characters were very interesting and well-played. It's a shame because other than him it seemed a really cool show that I slowly lost interest in.

Maybe its just me, but does anyone else feel the same way, even just a little?

Nope, not at all :D

I think Crichton is one of the most unique and interesting lead characters in sci-fi. He screws up, he's not perfect, he's not all-knowing, he gets the crap beaten out of him constantly, and isn't taking it well at all. He's being affected by each and every encounter that he has, and despite the constant moral ambiguity he sees, always at least tries to do the right thing. Through it all, he's still an extremely likable character and necessary to the show.

Nope. John Chrichton is one of my favorite characters on television, and is one of the primary reasons that Farscape is as good as it is.
