Fast Movement with Different Movement Types

If you have something which increases your speed, such as Fast Movement from either Scout or Barbarian and you have different movement types, such as Climb and Burrow in addition to your normal speed, are these affected by the Fast Movement? Is your base normal speed the only thing affected by improvements on speed?

The barbarian Fast Movement ability says the barbarian's "land speed is faster than the norm", which I would think applies only to normal movement and not burrowing or climbing, even if they occur on land (and definitely not to flying, swimming, of course). I don't have my CAdv here, so I can't say what the Scout says.

I don't know if there's a definition of 'Land speed' anywhere, but Burrowing and Climbing are technically land-based, though I have a feeling that those aren't meant to be included.

The scout says "gains a +10 enhancement bonus to her base land speed."

Yeah, I'd assume Land Speed means your normal movement, but one of my friends had a somewhat convincing argument earlier that it could mean Burrowing and Climbing, though it seems to have faded from my mind.

If climbing is a land speed, does that mean when you are on a rope 30ft in the air, you are actually on land? How bizarre. Does burrowing through snow put you on land? Is being underground considered on land? I don't think so. IMO, it's obvious that "land speed" is the normal walking/running speed and does not apply to the other 4 movement modes. It's much clearer with climbing than burrowing, but there are other forms of material you can burrow through that would not be considered land.
