Fate of Star Wars

Put RPG stats & rules in the miniatures boxes in the form of a small booklet, similar in size to the miniatures rulebook that comes with the starter sets. It might even sell more miniatures this way!

Bummer news, but not unexpected. At least I know I'll never have to worry about not having all the Star Wars books...and I know definitively what will need to be converted from D6. ;)

It's a shame, but I'm glad I have an answer. If we want to keep Star Wars d20 alive, material is going to have to come from the fans. I've never really gotten into the game, but maybe I'll grab a few books before they're completely out of print.

Good luck with that. I have the entire collection already but just for curiosity's sake I went ahead and checked on ebay a couple of times in that last week or so for various books and their pricing. Dude, those things are gold-pressed latinum right now (I know, wrong universe :P ). I saw a Starships of the Galaxy go for over 60 bucks, I saw a POTJ go for over 70, and a couple of other used books go for brand new book prices or a bit higher (although many are still very reasonably priced)! Get em now, I would say, before they get way too expensive.

I bought a whole bunch of Star Wars d6 stuff from WEG when they were liquidating their warehouse and then I bought every single Star Wars d20 release (including the three Ultimate Missions books and Star Wars Gamer magazine). Are they all great books (New Jedi Order stank, but it was the very last book I bought)? No, but at least I don't have to pay 60 at eBay for any of those books now.

Still, I think WoTC could put some RPG material in their miniatures products, whether that be on the stat cards or by way of a little booklet. At least it's something.

I'll probably just get Revised Core Rulebook and the Heroes' Guide. From what I understand that's all I really need.

True, and I would pick up the Galactic Campaign Guide as well. It's still cheap and it rocks.
