Woah, go back there a second! Mecha Crusade was a d20 Modern mini-game. "Requires the D20 Modern Core Rulebook to play" is a pretty big giveaway there.

On another note, how is d20 Modern not set up to do science fiction? Isn't GeneTech science fiction?

You left out none of the above... I'm working on a Stargate SG-1 type game.

You are? So am I. Are you doing it in an official capacity (as in are you acquiring the license)?

I'm working on the SG-1 stuff strictly for my own amusement (well, that and the amusement of my gaming group).

There is a rumor, completely unsubstanciated that Mongoose is doing a D20 SG-1 game, but what ever they are doing, they apparantely plan to use D20 and not D20 Modern.

I am also fiddling with a D20 Valdemar, again, just for my little circle rather than for publication.

Where exactly did you hear this rumor?

I voted on GeneTech because I think it, along with Agents of PSI, would make a great campaign. I sort of like Shadow Chasers because I want to run a Wicked City type campaign. As it stands now, I have no interest in the Urban Arcanna setting. This may change when the campaign book comes out next year

I'm also working on a StarGate campaign which includes meta humans as the main group. If the above rumor is true, it would be awesome but I'd prefer if AEG would do it with their Spycraft system

No, I didn't leave it off. I asked which of the published mini-campaigns people liked best, not what concept that could potentially use the system are you working on! :)

There were three campaigns published with the book, and Gene-tech was going to be published with the book but was cut for space reasons. Sure, Polyhedron will probably publish more campaign seeds in the future, but those are the four "basic" ones so to speak. Personally, I wouldn't just run one either; I'd combine Gene-tech and the P.S.I. campaign, and then do something else completely different to give it a twist.

And who said d20 Modern wasn't set up to do sci-fi? I certainly never claimed that here. I didn't recall seeing anyone else do that, on this thread at least, either.

Shadow Chasers gets my vote. I am thinking of porting over the sanity rules to D20 modern for a shadow chasers campaign.

Right now i'm working on a campaign where the players are nightlifers who discover a river in the abandoned sections of the NYC subway system.

This river is the in fact the River Styx, and pretty soon NYC is overrun by nasty fiends of the night.

Some monsters i am going to include are Vampiric Wererats that infest the tunnels, a horde of gremlins, gargoyles, fiends, undead, and quite a bit of demons & devils.

The players will be regular people, and can acquire the Occultist & Shadow Slayer prestige classes if they survive long enough, I'll even allow Mage and Acolyte from Urban Arcana, using Call of Cthulhu D20 spells.

I wouldn't class that as D20 Modern. Its Science Fiction and nothing in the D20 rules is really set up for that sort of campaign.

And if he's forgotten that then he's also forgotten....

Pulp Heroes
Thunderball Rally
and Omega World

Although I would only class Thunderball Rally as D20 Modern (perhaps Pulp Heroes as well since it is so close to the modern era and rules set).

Right there.

As for Mecha Crusade, it is pretty out there as far as rules go, but it does work. I've seen it work. And it works well. Hmmm......I liked GeneTech, sorta. Coulda used some more bizarre X-files type "just on the edge" light fantasy.

Perhaps If I play up the environment problems a bit, and add in some mystical bat moreau native american spiritual hoopa-joo.........
