Favorite Dungeon Modules

Don't know what I'd pick as favorite, but "Rana Mor" by Rich Baker (issue #86) showed up at the same time I was reading about the Dutch and English East India Companies, and sparked my current homebrew...

Now if I could just get some more of it to gel, and then find some time and players...

Dungeon #100 was chock full of goodies....either beast of burden or woe to mistledale. The Lich queen one from the same issues was pretty darn good too.

Seeking Bloodsilver #59, by Chris Perkins. This is a highly adaptable adventure with a great ruined fortress set in the Plane of Shadow. The maps are great - have a look and adapt it for your campaign.

Raiders of Galath's Roost #87 by Skip Williams. A very decent low level adventure. Skip's fluff is rather iffy, but his crunch is always well done and he takes great care to make sure his adventure locales make sense. This means that the Raiders of Galath's Roost is a well thought out and highly adapatble adventure with another series of great maps to make into your own.

Mad God's Key #114 by Jason Bulmahn. I have yet to run it, but I have read it through thrice and I concur that it is one of the best Dungeon Adventures in a while. Again - a fine low level romp.

Light of Lost Souls - #12

Chadranthar's Bane - #18

Tallow's Deep - #18

The Curse & The Quest - #26

The White Boar of Kilfay - #37

Song of the Fens - #40

Unhallowed Ground - #54

Stage Fright - #76

In the Dread of Night

Issue...#24? Author was Ann something or the other, I've run it several times. Great Basic D&D game. :D

edit: me edit for spel goode

The only ones I have run twice are Necropolis and another whose title I have forgotten about a young woman who is a seamstress who thinks her home is haunted. The real culprit turns out to be something more human.

For the nostalgia factor, I had a lot of fun with Ex Keraptis Cum Amore and Torrents of Dread.

More recently, there was a great early 3E adventure with goblins and an earthquake. Sorry, I don't have easy access to ym Dungeon collection right now for title reference.

I also enjoyed running Iriandel and the Elfwhisper.

I am looking forward to running the Shadows Over Istivin mini-campaign in the future.

There are other great ones that I have not even had the opportunity to consider running.

Add my vote for Mad Gods Key. We had a blast with the "chase the half-orc across the boats" section, especially when the dwarf hit the boat with the chickens, and the feathers flew!

I also love the Shackled City adventure path, but have yet to start a new campaign to run it in. :\ Someday, though....

Actually, I nearly forgot about Mad God's Key. I ran the first two-thirds, set in Sharn, as the first sessions of a detective-based game. They loved it.

Speaking of Sharn and detectives, Steel Shadows is the best of the Eberron modules they've published so far, and I think works better than the Eberron module series starting with Forgotten Forge.

Demiurge out.
