D&D General Favorite Less Used Low CR Creatures?

Goblins and kobolds are staples of low-level D&D games, but there are plenty of other creatures with similarly low CRs like fire newts, vegepygmies, and xvarts. Òf these others, which are your favorites, and do you have any fond memories of them?

I tend to use a lot of fey so Boggles, Pixies, Gremlins and Twigblights get a bit of use

I use Bullywugs a lot too

I also made Gnomes fey and went down the rabbithole of the Gnome link to Mites and Jermlaines/Snyads as well as Redcaps, Spriggans (and Brownies) - so they can all appear in my unsavoury gnome clans.

I had lots of fun with a gnome clan that kept stealing chickens from the local farms and do various other acts of vandalism around town forcing the PCs to try and track them to their lair to recover a stolen mcguffin - meeting the redcap and spriggan enforcers was a suprise for the PCs

Dark creepers for me, as well as troglodytes. Of the former, I always liked it when PCs got to levels they could start facing also Dark Stalkers - and their reaction the first time one of them explodes into a mini-fireball.

I like using jermlaine and osquips at low levels, and often will find an excuse for the PCs to have to go into a dungeon that I specifically designed to feature them.

I love blights, especially twig blights.

Mephits are my favorite under-utilized low CR creatures.

Invulnerabilities, flight, spellcasting, and death bursts; and they like to be little tricksters.

So much fun!

Darkmantles and Stirges are a couple of favourites of mine. Kobolds certainly do come up as well (although I have been making them a PC race in recent campaigns).

I will ditto on Twig Blights, can be thrown in any woodland setting for a surprise.

In 3E I liked using Phantom Fungus. Unfortunately, they never transferred over to 4E or 5E and I have not gotten around to experimenting on how to rework them for this edition.

I still like skeletons and undead, but I'm guessing they get used a lot.
