Freeports my vote but.....

I have to say one of the great charms of a nautical setting is that you don't have to work so hard to explain the ocean distance between them. Different setting mesh a little easier if they're ports.

Sasserine
Blackwater (From Depths of Blackwater)
Saltmarsh - From Sinister Secret of Saltwater (U series)

Gotta love mix and match setting locations.

I'd say Buccaneers of Freeport will likely address your desire for more piratey adventures for Freeport.

Now I've got this bizarre image of Hastur approaching in a boat singing Christopher Cross songs. Plus, I'll probably have "Sailing" stuck in my head all day now.

Anyway, to Patrick O'Duffy---good news. I haven't gotten to the end of the book yet. I'm not implying that I wanted just seafaring adventure hooks, just that I did want some.

just sing (inwardly of course) "hot legs" by rod stewart.

Luckily, I can't remember how that goes, and in trying to remember, I ended up with ZZ Top's "Legs." I can live with ZZ Top being stuck in my head for a little while.
