Freeports my vote but.....

I have to say one of the great charms of a nautical setting is that you don't have to work so hard to explain the ocean distance between them. Different setting mesh a little easier if they're ports.

Freeport
Bluffside
Sasserine
Blackwater (From Depths of Blackwater)
Saltmarsh - From Sinister Secret of Saltwater (U series)

Gotta love mix and match setting locations.

I'd say Buccaneers of Freeport will likely address your desire for more piratey adventures for Freeport.

"At the moment two of these [setting books] are in design. The first is Cults of Freeport, which will detail many of the city’s vilest organizations (including the Brotherhood of the Yellow Sign). The second is Buccaneers of Freeport, which provides a pack of vicious pirates for use in your games and includes full details on their crews and ships."
Well, if I do end up running this Freeport game that I'm going to propose to my players tonight, those books will be too late to be of much use to me.

Now I've got this bizarre image of Hastur approaching in a boat singing Christopher Cross songs. Plus, I'll probably have "Sailing" stuck in my head all day now.

Anyway, to Patrick O'Duffy---good news. I haven't gotten to the end of the book yet. I'm not implying that I wanted just seafaring adventure hooks, just that I did want some.

glad to help amigo!! glad to help.

now, if having "sailing" stuck in your head becomes too much to take, there is a surefire method for getting any song out of your head.

just sing (inwardly of course) "hot legs" by rod stewart.

course, then you have "hot legs" stuck in your head. can't help you with that!!!!

Luckily, I can't remember how that goes, and in trying to remember, I ended up with ZZ Top's "Legs." I can live with ZZ Top being stuck in my head for a little while.
