Pick your favorite 6th-level Summoned Monster from the list above -- whether it's the one your PC most frequently picks, or the one as DM you see used most often, or the one which most resembles your druid's best Summoned Nature's Ally. I've tried to select the most obvious choices for the list (core only, of course).

Add a line telling us why you prefer the one you do -- especially if you choose "other", then you've got to tell us which one it is!

Gotta go with the Eryines. She is a lightweight in melee, but she has so many spell-like and supernatural abilites, it's amazing. Particularly useful are Invisibility, See Invisibility, Major Image, Suggestion, and most useful of all the Charm Person gaze (which works more like Dominate Person if you read the description).

Unlike other devils, the Eryines actually has a high Cha making the save DCs for her abilities reasonably high. Also since the Charm Person gaze requires only that the Eryines look at the person and not vice versa, it can be done in a Darkness spell (Devils can see perfectly in all types of darkness) or while Invisible. Finally immunity to fire is great in many situations.

I like the Dire Bear too, but unfortunately it is very big and not easy to fit in all situations. Also it can't fly like the Eryines, further narrowing its usefulness to a tank.

What the heck is a Bezekira?

Seriously though, it is a Hellcat. Look under the Devil section in the MM you'll find it. These bad-boys have several cool advantages including DR 20/+2 and the fact that they are naturally invisible in light.
