Feat similar to Practiced Spellcaster, but for BAB?

Practiced Spellcaster (page 82 in both Complete Divine and Complete Arcane) boosts your caster level by +4, but not beyond your hit dice.

My question: Is there a feat that can boost the base attack bonus (BAB) in a similar way?

What an interesting idea. I've yet to see one, though. Most builds that rely on high BAB just stick to high BAB classes.

I don't think there is one, but I don't think HRing one in would be all tht unbalancing, considering that- statistically speaking- melee combat (and damage dealing in general) is suboptimal as compared to some of the stuff spells do.

Although, it would allow Moderate BAB classes to get four attacks. Perhaps add a Prerequisite "Must have at least four levels in any class (singular or combined among all class levels) with a high BAB"?

Practiced Spellcaster has a small caveat that it only adds to things that are dependent on your level (dice rolled, range, duration) but doesn't give you new spells. Would this feat give more iterative attacks?

I have no idea if that would be unbalanced or not. Just something I thought I'd bring up.

Sure, but let's consider the following; BAB (being a consistent mechanic) grants only additional attacks during a full attack action. Caster Level can change spells entire effects, can mean the difference between life and death of an entire party (or city), extend ranges and durations and DCs so dramatically that it is almost considered idiotic NOT to take Practiced Spellcaster if you're planning to multiclass or play a half caster.

If you'd see the feat reduced to, effectively, "+4 to attack rolls", well, that is one thing altogether. I'd really like it to remain a bonus to BAB, though.

Benefit: For purposes of determining your base attack bonus, treat your worst base attack bonus class as 4 levels higher to a maximum in that class equal to your hit dice, or level 20, whichever is lower. This feat has no effect for characters at or above level 21.

sound good?

oh and Sek, CL doesn't increase your save DC's; ever.

Some Psionics, which (using magic/psionics transparency) can take benefit from the existing feat, allow just that to happen.

I like this new iteration quite a bit better than previous. I still believe it needs a prerequisite of "levels in a high BAB class", to offset how amazing it it for average BAB characters multiclassing with average or low BAB classes.

Caster Level (meaning spells, which is what was stated and why I made my statement) never increases the saving throw DC of spells.

Manifester Level (for psionic powers, which is what was not stated until after my statement) also doesn't increase the saving throw DC of powers; AUGMENTATIONS can increase the saving throw DC of powers.

If you know of a power or feat or class ability that says "increase your saving throw DCs of Powers (or Spells) by your Manifester (or Caster) level" please enlighten me.
