Feat suggestion for a Pixie

OK, starting tonight I'm playing a Pixie (who will eventually go for Battle Sorcerer when he's done with his Pixie levels). Pixie is a 5-level class from Savage Species, and he will start at 4th level.

I can't decide what feat to pick (he only gets to pick one feat as a 4th level Pixie).

He needs a feat for his first Pixie level; at his second Pixie level he gets Dodge as a racial feat. (So, unfortunately, he can't take Mobilitiy since he doesn't have Dodge when he picks this feat.) His stats are:

STR 10
DEX 20
CON 18
INT 14
WIS 13
CHA 22

Any suggestions?

I'm leaning toward Weapon Finesse or Improved Initiative or Combat Reflexes. But his backstory (he's been tortured and is, therefore, quite skittish and tends not to rush into battle) lead me to believe I should pick something else.

TIA!

I think you should swap str and wis, and then I would definitely consider things like power attack, improved bull rush, improved overrun, and improved shield bash (assuming you are proficient with a shield, tower shields work great for this, though you'll need the tower shield proficiency).

What was it you said you were making again?

Seriously, I would stay away from combat anything. Improved Init would be handy, since you may need to vacate the premises quickly. Spell focus, spell penetration are both handy. I've never seen combat reflexes come into play. Ever. Most worthless feat, next to Quickdraw.

A Pixie gets -4 to Str, so swapping WIS and STR would lower his STR to 9.

This pixie will take levels in Battle Sorcerer, concentrating on ranged attack spells. As a pixie, he can remain invisible constantly (Greater Invis at will), so unless someone's got True Seeing or Invisibility Purge (or Blindsense) he'll be fine. He can also wear light armor with no arcane spell failure once he takes his first level of Battle Sorcerer (a variant in Unearthed Arcana).

D'oh! I didn't even think about Spell Penetration. Thanks!

And I will remember your wise counsel regarding Combat Reflexes

I'm playing a Pixie character right now. I took Weapon Finesse and fighter class (thought it would be funny if the front line fighter for the group of monsters was a pixie), but I'll tell you that running around with a d4 rapier does not make for a good fighter.

skill focus (craft (underwater basketweaving)).

no self-respecting pixie would be caught dead in store bought clothing.

While I have not seen it often (because folks don't take it that often), the few times I have seen it taken, I have seen it do massive damage to the enemy.

I think part of it is GMs and or players don't always play in the minds of thier characters. It's far to easy as a GM to remember that a PC has CR, so therefore won't do something to provoke an AOO. It's the same thing with the "fight to the last" mentality of baddies. Baddies don't want to die, they want to be baddies. Yet GMs have thse things fight to the death of each being. That's just wrong. I usually go out of my way to make sure that I have the right mindset for an enemy. If you would flee, they should flee. Unless there's ferocious or rage invovled, or a mindlessness.

Anyhoo back to topic...BN, yeah if you're guy's gonna be combat shy, AOO is not the way to go. What about that REACH metamagic feat? Let's you make ranged touch attacks within 30' for "touch" spells.

Pixies don't wear baskets...and, there's no water (we're in a dungeon). That just won't work, diaglo. :p
