Feat to prepare general cleric spells in domain slots

I just thought of something that needs clarrified: what about spontaneous casting using the domain slot?

Domain Adaptability [Special]

You can use your domain spell slot as a regular clerical spell slot.
Prerequisite: Expanded Domains feat.
Benefit: You can prepare general clerical spells in your domain spell slots. You can also spontaneously cast using the spell in the doman slot.
Normal: You can only prepare domain spells in domain spell slots. You can not spontaneously cast using the spell in the domain slot.

Does spontaneous casting using the spell in the domain slot seem like too much?

Mechanically, it seems fine, but I think it loses some flavor. Domains are supposed to be your god's specialities. Wouldn't clerics be encouraged to act in the realm of their domains by requiring them to prepare domain spells?

I think this is countered by having Expanded Domains as a prereq feat: when the cleric chooses Domain Adaptability, they are probably already preparing several extra domain spells in non-domain slots (since many domain spells are useful enough to cast more than once per day).

I think this feat is useful for the spell levels that don't have good domain spells or for those specific times when a cleric absolutely needs another of their normal spells rather than a domain spell to deal with a specific situation.

how about a feat that allows you to prepare a domain spell in your normall spell slots

That would be the prereq Expanded Domains feat from the Netbook of Feats.
