Conversion!

Whew boy,

When I converted my Dmhood from 1st to 2nd edition it was pretty straight forward. However, when I converted my DMing levels to 3rd edition things were looking grim. I realized I gained a whole new bunch of Knowledge skills with zero ranks. I still had a high bluff check though.

I had some feats all along I didn't realize I had like 'Stay up Late' and 'Survive Long Hours of Play on Mountain Dew'. It was rare though that I reserved enough power points to invoke that elusive psionic power called 'Everyone has an awesome time and tells you what fun they had'.

Since Y2K I've put alot of ranks into my deficient knowledge skills while my natural charisma has kept my charisma based skills high.

Later,

Son of Thunder

One for the parents amongst us

As one father to others (and mothers out there) a few feats to enable us to still play...

Stay Asleep Prerequisite: Have a child (or children)! After the children have been put to sleep for the night, they stay that way and do not interrupt the session by waking up. Normal: They will wake at least once in the session and demand to roll dice, read the books, look at monster pictures and be so cute nobody pays attention to the game till they are bundled back off to bed!

Keep entertained Prerequisite: Have a child (or children)! When playing during daylight hours children are kept entertained without needing to sit on parents laps, look at monsters in books or role the dice. Normal: Child will insist on all the above plus ask when they can play!

Heh, what can I say - I have a three old he likes my monster manual since he likes to look at the "funny men". (Obviously there is some inherited weirdness here - two of the favourites are v3.5 Mind Flayer -he's actually just helping the man to stand up, and the chaos beast -the man was struggling in water and it is taking him out!) Oh, and don't forget the dragons - his absolute favourites is to go through the dragon pictures - numerous times! (The smaller one just likes to try and eat dice!)

Flame Strike: Once per session you may create a piller of fire. This instantly turns your most annoying Player into a small pile of ash :)
Heh. I used to use this in my campaign's at the WoTC store in Pentagon City! Had this one kid who just didn't need to be playing a sorcerer. After that he played a barbarian, and was awesome!

Give Girlfriend Backrub and Plan Tomorrow's Game at the Same Time : Could well be the prerequisites for Ghostknights extremely handy Stay Asleep and Keep Entertained feats.

Improved Sarcasm: All Players will automatically be floored by one sarcastic remark of your chosing per session.

My description of an attack,

Me: How many HP do you have?
Player: 15...
Me: No you don't.

Oh and

Perfect touch: You can hit Anthony hard enough to stop him messing arround but not so hard he tells on you. Normal: It just gets him more annoying

Whack: When you hit Anthony he stays down. Normal: he crawls away and tells a teacher
