Get both and max concentration for delightfully useless stacking.

By the way, I think your decision to take scribe scroll is excellent. It also tends to be cool to take skill focus (bookbinding or scribe) or get a custom feat that adds 2 to both.

In 3.5e I'd recommend Skill Focus (Concentration) over Combat Casting any day. SF(Conc) will help you resist losing a spell due to taking damage, which CC doesn't help at all. SF(Conc) will also help you cast on horseback, on a tilting ship, help you maintain concentration on an ongoing spell in spite of damage or distracting conditions, etc.

I concur. Skill Focus is a better choice, even in 3.0. There is no comparison in 3.5. Skill Focus: Concentration is a safe choice that the grunts in the party will appreciate you having. It is a solid team play option.

If in doubt, a spellcaster can never go wrong with Improved Initiative.

assuming that you are human and want your character to make lots of magic items - then at level 1 take scribe scroll and magical artisan. or if the DM allows then take scribe scroll and rapid scribing. [lets you scribe up to 2k work of scrolls per day but its 1/15th the xp not 1/25th. also you can scribe multiple scrolls whose total combined value does not exceed 2k gold. I think you are limited to your INT modifer/day in scrolls as well but I could see changing that to WIS for divine casters or CHA for bards and sorc's.

And yes, SCP is a great choice...especially after the people on this thread have convinced me that Combat Casting is not as good as I thought it was.
