Feats for a magical beast.

Does a magical beast gain a feat for each 3 HD that you advance it, or is it some other progression? I couldn't find it in the SRD...

Pretty much everything gains 1 feat every 3 levels/HD these days, unless it has no Int.

Thank you, hong. That does simplify things. For some reason I was thinking that some monster types might have a different progression.

In 3e they did. The revised edition (3.5) makes all the monsters (except those with no Int score) advance just like characters with regards to feats (1 + 1 per 3 HD).
